Graduation is getting close, it’s right around the corner and I can’t believe that it’s finally here. After all the tears and others not believing in my potential, I am here. May 7, 2010, I will be walking across the stage accepting my BS degree in Communication and Information Technology from Macon State College. WOW!
School starts back in eight days and I have five months to get my senior project done which includes a 20 page paper and a technical project ( website, movie, etc.). I will be posting the highs and lows of preparing of graduation. I am preparing to embark on another part of my life; my journey is not over but just beginning.
I have had an interest in all forms of media even before I decided that it would be the degree I would pursue. I’m often looking for websites, magazines, etc. that will expand my knowledge on the subject. One website I found to be very informative about jobs in the film industry is Mandy.com. This website is a career search engine for jobs in productions, engineering, accounting, amongst many other careers fields. The job locations range from coast to coast the US, Europe, and everywhere in between. The users are able to create accounts and when jobs matches the users search criteria, Mandy.com contacts the qualified participants to apply for job. I think its a create website to check for those interested in new media.
